On-prem or in a VMware Cloud, NSX firewall policy management should be easy and uniform. CloudControl, through Policy Engine, allows a central point of management to synchronize firewall policies and objects.

QUERY WIDGET
Query enables users to locate information on any given object very quickly. From NSX objects to vCenter Virtual Machine information, Query is a simple and quick manner without needing to click around multiple places.
OPERATIONS
Operations was designed for quick and easy Day 2 tasks to operate NSX. The user is presented with a dashboard summary of the Networking & Security (N&S) Objects with the ability to create or modify in real-time or on schedule.
CONVERSION
3rd party firewall conversion to NSX is easy as point and click. Convert Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Fortinet and Palo Alto rules to NSX through CloudControl.
REPORTING
Daily or weekly collection of NSX objects and configurations can be configured. These reports provide a summary of the environment with the capability to email the results and provide difference reports to illustrate what has changed between the last collection.
TROUBLESHOOT
One of the goals our vision is to provide an all encompassing management and troubleshooting platform for NSX. CloudControl eliminates the need to bounce from the UI to Command-line to an API client with many integrate tools that can perform all these tasks in a single click.

Configuration templates provide a standard method for creating multiple objects and policies with consistent results in any deployment. Users can extract existing configurations from any given NSX domain with a single click or leverage on-box CSV-based templates
ACCESS TO INFORMATION
Extracting NSX objects and policies often requires custom scripting or 3rd party tools. Native to CloudControl is the ability to quickly and easily collect this information for review and/or use in workflows against other NSX Managers. This information may also be used for audit review to ensure compliance.
